Great sound in a compact size

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 offer a rounded format, which does not protrude into the ears, and silicone tips to promote good support. For intra-auriculars, which are placed in the ear canal, they are very comfortable and easy to forget during a few hours of listening, especially thanks to their lightness (only 6.3 g per headset). The touch controls on top of the headphones are also quite responsive and mostly complete.

Regarding the audio part, they use almost the same two dynamic transducers as the first Buds Pro of the name, where a tweeter will focus on highs and mids when a woofer will focus on bass. Therefore, we don’t have one loudspeaker responsible for producing two sounds, sometimes at opposite frequencies and at the same time. Here, the sound produced was very rich and had a lot of detail. We also noticed the presence of active noise reduction, which is quite effective for mid-range headphones. It is also part of the Transparency mode with several levels of intensity: low, medium or high.

Great fast charging

Galaxy Buds 2 battery life is average with around 5 hours for the earbuds, and this figure can reach more than 20 hours with the case. We especially appreciate its super-fast charging via USB-C that allows the earphones, as well as the case, to go from 0 to 100% in just 38 minutes. However, remember to take your smartphone’s power supply, as it is not included in the box. Also note that they are compatible with wireless charging, certainly not as efficient, but still practical if you already have an induction base.
