After overtime, De’Aaron Fox and the Kings hit the Wolves’ floor shot

One all over, ball in the middle. Two days after their loss against the Wolves, the Kings reacted by winning on the same floor after extra time (111-118).

Thus De’Aaron Fox and his team consolidated their 3rd place in the West while the Wolves, who could invite themselves to the Top 4 in case of victory, made a spectacular collapse in 9th place due to the thickness of the conference.

WHAT YOU SHOULD REMEMBER

The rivalry between two potential neo-All Stars. Five minutes from the end, his team still trailed by three points (90-93). So Anthony Edwards took the responsibility by chaining six consecutive points, including two ending in the circle (96-93). De’Aaron Fox sent a floater before Edwards answered him with a hyper-contested fadeaway. Who will answer him again? The Kings’ leader was clear, with a 3-point shot this time (98-99). The “money time” in regulation time produced a great battle between two young talents, competing to win the first choice in the All-Star game.

One-way extension. The Wolves stole extra time with a little work from Jaden McDaniels who, after a doubt that could have been fatal, sent the winning shot equalizer 13 seconds from the end (103-103), to which De ‘Aaron Fox the buzzer. The locals’ efforts to get back on the scoresheet paid off as the visitors quickly called their long-distance address to escape an extra five minutes. Malik Monk is decisive in his bindings, Trey Lyles, too, in his finishes. Sacramento won the extension relatively easily (8-15).

The clumsiness of Wolves. Between Rudy Gobert’s bad pass or Anthony Edwards’, both of which were intercepted by Malik Monk in the final two minutes of overtime, the Wolves experienced their craziness. They lost 18 balls while their opponents posted their best performance of the year with 15 interceptions. In addition to the “turnovers”, we note the ugly 13/25 free throws by the players of Minnesota, which was mainly strengthened by the 6/14 of the Gobert – Edwards tandem.

TOPS/FLOPS

De’Aaron Fox. Our little finger tells us that he wants to mark the spirits against the Wolves back because the Kings leader has not shot much this season in a match. More focused on “scoring” than creating, he was decisive in “money time” before retreating in overtime.

✅ ⛔ Anthony Edwards. Also a solid match for him, however, marred by his poor shooting from distance (4/11), free throws (1/4) and ball in hand (6 lost balls). More importantly, in overtime, instead of attacking the circle against a private pivot defense, he was content to send 3-pointers with moderate success (1/3).

Trey Lyles and Malik Monk. The first behaved like a real X factor. Invisible for all of regulation time, he took advantage of the exit of Domantas Sabonis for six fouls, which annoyed the referees, to punish for the first time in the corner in front of Rudy Gobert, new. starts to dribble and ends with a dunk in front of the catch. His 8 points during this period made a difference, as did the activity of Monk, the source of the repairs for the interior and author of important interceptions.

D’Angelo Russell. A watering night, especially in overtime where he sent three long shots wide of the target. His meager outing was in stark contrast to his brilliant past matches.
