The Samsung Galaxy S24 will return to the high-end Exynos 2400 chips

Over the years, Samsung has used a dual flagship model in terms of mobile phone chips. This indicates that it uses both Snapdragon as well as internal Exynos chips for its flagships. While the Snapdragon models will be released in China, the United States, and other major markets, the Exynos model will go to Europe and parts of Asia. However, the Samsung-developed Exynos 2300 will no longer be used in the flagship Galaxy S23 series of phones. Instead, the company will use the chip from the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE, a midrange mobile phone. Now, there are reports that the company will bring its chips back to its flagships. From the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, there will be an Exynos 2400 model.

According to some reports, the Samsung Exynos 2400 will start mass production in November this year. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be official in 2024 and may use this chip. This chip is only available for the South Korean version of this series of mobile phones. Currently, there are two specific rumors about the architecture design of the Samsung Exynos 2400. There is a report that the chip will use a 1+4+3 eight-core architecture. However, another report indicates that this device will include a 1 +2+3+4 ten-core architecture.

The Exynos 2400 is expected to include a massive Cortex X4 core, a small Cortex A510 core and a large Cortex A720 core. However, there is no definite number of large and small hearts. There are no leaks or rumors about the specific number. It’s important to note that Samsung has been using Snapdragon chips in its flagship devices for the past few years. But there will still be flagship phones with their own Exynos series chips in the Korean market.

In addition, Exynos series chips also have a great influence in Europe. It is not known whether the European version of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will use Qualcomm or Exynos 2400 processors. So far, there is no official comment from Samsung regarding this report.

Exclusive Samsung Galaxy S23 series chip exposure: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy

Samsung and Qualcomm have reached an agreement that the upcoming Galaxy S23 series will use an exclusive chipset, which is officially called “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy”. However, the name seems too long and Samsung is about to simplify it to “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy”. According to reports, the new version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 chip still uses TSMC’s 4nm process. Its massive core is Cortex X3 and the CPU clock frequency will reach 3.36GHz. That’s higher than the 3.2 GHz clock rate used by Qualcomm’s original model. Samsung has made some changes to the chip from Qualcomm to make it more powerful.
