Winter sales 2023: the best promotions on the best Android and iPhone smartphones

The selection has been updated to January 23, 2023 with a new iPhone 14 promotion.

Until February 7, several brands present more or less attractive discounts on a large number of smartphones during the winter sales. And this year again, there’s something for everyone and for every budget. If you want to start the year with a new model, take advantage without delay of one of the great plans we have selected.

Winter smartphone sales: the crème de la crème

On Samsung:

Samsung Galaxy M23 128 GB 5G at €199 instead of €299 at Cdiscount

Samsung Galaxy M23 5G

The Samsung Galaxy M23 5G is one of the cheapest 5G-enabled smartphones on the market. It offers a large screen, offers decent performance and has a triple rear photo sensor.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 128 GB 5G at €399 instead of €659 at Cdiscount (-€50 with code SFETV23 for CDAV members)

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (5G) is sold a little more expensive than Samsung’s 4G version, but this is the price to pay to take advantage of 5G as its name suggests. We also noticed the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor instead of the Exynos 990. But in general, these two models offer the same performance. It benefits from a 120 Hz Super AMOLED screen and a 4500 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 128 GB 5G at €979 instead of €1,259 on Amazon

The Galaxy S22 Ultra is mostly an iterative update to the S21 Ultra, but wrapped in a Galaxy Note-inspired chassis. It has the usual updates expected in a next-generation smartphone – like the latest processor – but is otherwise pretty much the same. This sounds like an update that’s really aimed at Galaxy Note fans, especially those who may have moved on from the Note 20 Ultra and are looking to upgrade a phone that was released over two years ago.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G 128 GB at €599 instead of €699 on Amazon

Samsung has put a lot of thought into its Galaxy Z Flip 3. The body, the hinge and the screen are made of materials that make the smartphone more solid without forgetting that it is no longer waterproof. A larger secondary screen, a quality primary screen and an improved software component put the Z Flip 3 on par with most other $1,000 phones. This does not mean that the device is not free from any defects. Battery life is poor, the crease on the inner screen is still there, the smartphone is not dust resistant and its long-term durability is unknown.

On Apple:

Apple iPhone 13 128 GB at €859 instead of €909 on Amazon

iPhone 13 is Apple’s most balanced formula like last year’s iPhone 12. The new model monopolizes the strengths of its predecessor while exhibiting more serious autonomy. We can regret the disagreement made with the 120 Hz refresh rate reserved for Pro models, but Apple offers us excellent image quality at 60 Hz. This year again, the iPhone is a must-have for any consumer looking for a complete high-end smartphone.

Apple iPhone 13 mini 128 GB at €759 instead of €809 on Amazon

The iPhone 13 mini keeps the best of its predecessor and adds some ingredients to an already proven recipe. So we end up with a powerful compact smartphone with a great screen, an effective picture component and better autonomy. But if you own an iPhone 12 mini, the few differences between the two models aren’t enough to call motivation to buy.

Apple iPhone 14 128 GB at €939 instead of €1019 at Cdiscount

Standard upgrades like the iPhone 14 are for people who just want a new iPhone to replace a year-old model. While the new iPhone Pros have the most notable new features, those on the iPhone 14 aren’t essential. But it’s an interestingly familiar smartphone that will resonate with most users.

On Xiaomi:

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 4 + 128 GB at €179.99 instead of €239.99 at Cdiscount

OLED and 90 Hz screen, excellent battery life and more than decent performance, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 does almost everything like its big brothers and therefore has arguments to be a benchmark in the segment of smartphones less than €200. However, the Chinese manufacturer may suffer from cannibalization between the old and the new generation since the Redmi Note 10 Pro, launched last year at 299 €, combines more premium characteristics.

On Oppo:

Oppo Find X5 Pro 12 + 256 GB 5G at €884 instead of €999 on Amazon

From its superb design to its superb screen and its solid cameras, Oppo’s flagship is alluring.

Oppo Find X5 Lite 8 + 256 GB 5G at €399 instead of €499 on Amazon

Oppo Find X5 Lite

Oppo Find X5 Lite is a complete mid-range smartphone, which offers solid autonomy with fast charging and a very good daytime wide-angle module.

On Google:

Google Pixel 7 at €583 instead of €639 on Amazon

The Pixel 7 is a continuation of the Pixel 6, offering a good combination of useful features, solid picture technology and a decent price. This comes after Google tried a few different approaches to make its Pixel phones stand out over the past few years.

Google Pixel 7 Pro at €799 instead of €899 on Amazon

The Pixel 7 Pro may not have the same flavor as last year’s Pixel 6 Pro, but it still has some notable improvements. The €250 surcharge that the Pro imposes on the Pixel 7 is defended with a 48-megapixel telephoto lens, as well as a large screen.

Google Pixel 6a at €334 instead of €459 on Amazon

Generation after generation, Google has been refining its recipe for bringing down its high-end smartphones. The inevitable compromises made to make the Pixel 6a more affordable than its bigger siblings really aren’t a deal breaker. The finish level is excellent, as is the performance. The main technical advantages and features that boost the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, we think in this particular picture, the autonomy and the first of the Android updates, are there. The best choice at this price.

In honor of:

Honor 70 + case for €479.99 instead of €549.99 on Amazon

Aesthetically flawless, the Honor 70 provides a smooth and seamless Google OS experience. The image component is not at the level of the Google Pixel 6 but the shots delivered remain fully usable. Finally, the newborn from the Chinese manufacturer has comfortable autonomy and very practical charging technology. Unfortunately, wireless charging is missing. In short, this is a new beautiful copy that Honor has sent into our hands, a well finished and pleasant to handle smartphone with a balanced technical sheet.
