– Denver and Memphis continue to pull the plug from far atop the Western Conference:

  • The Nuggets had a bit of a scare against the Wolves and they owe their victory to a big finish (9-0 in the last 3 minutes), as well as the cold blood of Jamal Murray (28 pts) and, surprise (no), a triple-double of Nikola Jokic (31 pts, 13 pds, 11 rbds), whose pass for a dunk from Aaron Gordon allowed Denver to fold the case. It was the 8th straight victory for the Nuggets, who were well focused on the money time.
  • In fact, Memphis had a great idea to win a tight game against the Cavs. Sometimes not custom, the two heroes of Memphis are named steven adams, who scored the game-winning basket with 16 seconds left, and Dillon Brooks, who kept the score at the buzzer by countering Darius Garland’s 3-point shot. Desmond Bane and Ja Morant combined for 49 points and the Grizzlies added their 11th straight win, tying the franchise record.

– You are not dreaming. The Kings are 3rd in the Western Conference with “only” 37 games left this NBA season. Sacramento was happy to beat the Lakers at Crypto Arena, to sign a 5th straight victory.

Despite the efforts of LeBron James (32 pts, 9 pds, 8 rbds), the Lakers did not have the same assurance and the same composure to win this tight game. Sacramento is playing without Domantas Sabonis, but De’Aaron Fox is a very good leader (31 pts), again with confidence and skill at the time of money.

Los Angeles is 13th in the Western Conference and unless there is an impressive series, the return of Anthony Davis and poor performances from competitors, it will be difficult to get the play-in.

– In the family of rushing teams, we ask for OKC. The Thunder got their 4th straight victory by taking advantage of the poor form of the Pacers (5 consecutive losses). This team is clearly aiming for a play-in place, to put it mildly. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and isaiah joe both scored 23 points, while Lu is sleeping matched his NBA rebound record (11) with 22 points added to the equation.

Also note the double-double of Kenrich Williams (12 pts, 11 pds) and the terrible address of Mark Daigneault’s men (50§ overall, 16/38 on 3 points).

The Thunder are 9th in the West, two fewer wins than 5th-placed Dallas.

– Lauri Markkanen didn’t miss his return after two games away. The “Finnisher” contributed a lot in the Jazz’s win against the Clippers that forced Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to rest… With 34 points and 12 rebounds to allow the Jazz to stay in 6th place in the West, improved of Markkanen his All-Star bid.

Ah, and in addition, he let himself succeed in the dunk of the night with this big potato in Ivica Zubac…

Nicholas Batum started and played 23 minutes for 11 points, 5 rebounds and 1 assist.

– Atlanta is making a spectacular rise in the rankings and chasing critics who thought it was a total blowout before the February deadline. The Hawks sealed their fourth straight victory tonight by beating Dallas in Texas. Dallas is in a reverse confidence dynamic and we feel it.

Dejounte Murray (30 points) and Trae Young (18 pts, 12 wt) posed too many problems for the Mavs. Luka Doncic (30 pts) struggled to speak in the 4th quarter (only 3 pts).

Atlanta is 8th in the East, two fewer wins than 6th place Miami. For the Mavs, we think the timing of this bad streak coincides with rumors indicating that Doncic is unhappy and is quickly asking for reinforcements …

Bradley Beal made his return with the Wizards and that return coincided with a solid and well-deserved win at Madison Square Garden. Washington got revenge after losing to both Knicks on Friday. DC leads almost continuously, led by Kyle Kuzma (27 points), Kristaps Porzingis (22-11-5) and Beal (18 pts).

– The Hornets lead Houston in a game between dunces, but this victory has a bitter taste. LaMelo Ball re-injured his ankle in the 3rd quarter… terry rosier (26 pts) led the discussions to answer Jalen Green (41 pts), caught fire to the point where he equaled his NBA points record and sounded the charge in money time to attempt a comeback. No success.

– The Heat had a quiet night in New Orleans, which was obviously helped by the absences of Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram. Miami led from start to finish, with a very good one Bam Adebayo (26 pts) and with the help of Jimmy Butler (18 pts) and Gabe Vincent.

This is the Heat’s 4th win in 5 matches. The start of 2023 shows us that the Floridians have not given up on remaining a franchise to be reckoned with in the East despite a very slow start.
