Grizzlies humiliate Suns for 10th straight victory!

Much to the surprise of Memphis fans, the Suns started the game well with a great foot Mikal Bridges that allowed his team to quickly take a seven point lead (11-4).

After a somewhat timid start to the match, Memphis woke up through Ja Morant and Desmond Bane. A duo that allowed the Grizzlies to take the score and then take the lead (22-17). The Suns immediately responded with a 14-0 run. Phoenix ended the first quarter with a 7-point lead (36-29).

Led by Jaren Jackson Jr, the Grizzlies started the second quarter very well to get back to a small point (39-38). After a season off the bench, Ja Morant’s return to the floor is pacing the Memphis attack. The latter chained three 3-point bomblets for the Grizzlies to regain the advantage (64-58). Memphis led 68-65 at the break.

In the third quarter, Memphis got stronger and gradually scored until they got a 15-point lead (89-74). Opposite the lone spark of the Suns is called Mikal Bridges who, somehow, does everything to keep his team in the game. But Memphis was very strong, Taylor Jenkins’ men spread and the gap rose above 20 points (100-79). The final quarter was nothing but a long garbage time, and Memphis won easily, 136-106.

WHAT YOU SHOULD REMEMBER

– 10 out of 10 for Memphis. The Grizzlies won their tenth straight, tying for the second-best mark in franchise history. An impressive streak that shows the collective strength of the team and their ability to stack up victories. The Grizzlies give the Nuggets nothing, and the two teams, tied, make the break in the Western Conference.

– Phoenix left the “play-in” zone. The Suns fell in the standings with their 12th loss in their last 14 games. A negative series that sees them slip out of the “play-in” zone. Without Chris Paul, or Devin Booker, the team is doomed.

TOPS/FLOPS

Ja Morant. Very good match on his part, with particular skill of 29 points on 11/20 shooting including 5/8 from 3-pointers but also 7 assists.

✅ Desmond Bane. His pulse was hot from the start and he didn’t cool down until near perfection: 28 points on 10/12 shooting including 3/4 from 3-pointers!

✅ Jaren Jackson Jr. Even though he was not skilled, he had an impact on the game as usual with 18 points, 8 rebounds but above all the best +/- of the game with +30!

✅ Mikal Bridges. He kept his men in the game until the start of the 3rd quarter.

⛔️ Landry Shamet. On 2/9 shooting including 1/6 from 3-pointers, the former Clippers shooter has suffered from comparisons to Desmond Bane.
