Like every year, the rumors are increasing as the official announcement approaches. Release date, price, technical sheet: we review everything we know about the Galaxy S23.

For the first time in years, Samsung can re-equip its star smartphones with Qualcomm chips. The Korean will not ignore its in-house chips for two years to optimize a new platform for 2025. According to the latest rumors, the Galaxy S23 will therefore enter a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip announced in December in Hawaii.
Beyond its impressive performance, this platform promises better energy consumption management. Good news because autonomy has never been a strong point of the latest Galaxy S. 5G and WiFi 6E compatible, Samsung’s new smartphones are also recognizable by their screen.
The entire array will inherit a Dynamic AMOLED 2X HDR10+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. There will be some differences between models. First on the diagonal of the slab: the Galaxy S23, S23 + and S23 will have screens of 6.1 ”, 6.6 ” and 6.8 ” respectively.
The Galaxy S23 and S23+ also have to “enjoy” a Full HD+ definition when the Galaxy S23 Ultra will display content in QHD+. The top-of-the-range model is the only one that will have an LTPO 2.0 panel that allows it to vary the frequency from 1 to 120 Hz depending on the content and thus save energy.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra should finally be the only model of this trio to have a brand new 3D Sonic Max fingerprint reader from Qualcomm that was already seen on the Vivo X80 Pro.
What design for the Galaxy S23?
I don’t understand why some people say the Galaxy S23 looks like an iPhone.
Like, where’s the similarity? Colors? Coming back? Wallpapers?
I’m really confused… pic.twitter.com/H3CMcm5ACa

The design of the Galaxy S23 will not change the genre. The first images were leaked weeks before the official announcement. They allow us to discover a range modeled on the Galaxy S22 Ultra launched last year.
Less rounded, the S23s should have the same image sensor integration in the top left corner, without the trim. A minimalist and elegant choice that was praised by critics last year in the S22 Ultra.
Samsung would have chosen not to include the sensor under the screen, which is both expensive and still inefficient for a consumer model. The three models will be thicker but longer and wider (by a few millimeters) and all will be IP68 certified.
According to the latest rumours, The Galaxy S23 will be offered in four colors: Phantom Black, Botanic Green, Misty Lilac and Cotton Flower.

Like last year, the Galaxy S23 should establish themselves as references in smartphone photography. First because Samsung should replace the main 108 Mpxl sensor with a brand new 200 Mpxl ISOCELL HP2 in-house sensor reserved for the Ultra model
In addition, the Galaxy S23 Ultra should once again have the best module in the range with, in particular, a Night Vision mode that will surpass everything we have seen so far.
The rest of the optics will be the same as the Galaxy S22 Ultranamely an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 12 Mpxl sensor, a telephoto lens with a 10 Mpxl sensor and 3x optical zoom combined with a periscopic lens for 10x optical zoom.
The Galaxy S23 and S23+ should use the same configuration as their predecessors. In the program, a 50 Mpxl main sensor with a wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens with a 10 Mpxl sensor and 3x optical zoom as well as an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 12 Mpxl sensor.
On the front, the Galaxy S23 and S23 should have a 12 Mpxl sensor (against 10 Mpxl for previous generations), the Galaxy S23 Ultra has the same 40 Mpxl sensor.
