Brussels Motor Show 2023: information, exhibitors, news

If the Mondial de Paris is honest lost its luster in 2022this is not the case for Brussels fair which is growing. The Belgian fair celebrates this 100th this year’s editionand doing it in style, over 9 days, from January 14 to 22 (discover our show guide for 2023-2024 here).

Practical information

It’s on again heysel palace that the show will take place, not far from the Atomium. in all, 5 halls will be crowded of exhibitors and more than 500,000 visitors are expected.

They can now book their ticket online, by choosing a specific date, for the exact sum of €12.50 (7.50 for children) until January 13. From January 14, whether online or on site, the price will be 15 € (10 € for children).

This should be put into perspective with the entrance ticket to the grueling show in Paris which can go up to €30 for lesser exhibitors. Finally on the prices, parking for the day is not too much because it costs only 10 €.

In terms of opening hours, the palaces will be open from 10 am to 7 pmwith the exception of Monday January 16 and Friday January 20, which will benefit from the evening opening until 10 pm

Finally, the car of the year 2023 electionCOTY (Car Of The Year), which is usually held at the Geneva Motor Show (export to the Middle East), will be held on the sidelines of this Brussels Motor Show.

Exhibitors

At this point again, the show in Brussels is very far from its Parisian counterpart. In fact, while the shows seem to be largely avoided by manufacturers, Brussels announced the presence of at least 50 exhibitors, including the biggest car brands.

So there will be a complete pavilion for the Volkswagen group, palace 11which will host the brands Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Audi, Skoda, SEAT, CUPRA, Porsche, Bugatti, Bentley, Lamborghini, Rimac, Microlino.

Stellantis and the Renault team will share the Palace 5 including brands Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Alpine, Citroën, DS, Dacia, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, Opel, Peugeot, Renault.

While Nissan, although a member of the Alliance, found itself among the Asian brands the palace 7 which also accepts BMW, and Mini. Thus we can find BYD, Kia, Lexus, MINI, Nissan, Subaru and Toyota.

The Palace 9, for its part, accepts BAIC, DFSK, Dodge, Seres and Smart. Finally, the palace 6 opens its doors to Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Maxus, Mazda, MG, Polestar, SsangYong, Silence, Suzuki, Tesla.

But, also, it will receive luxury brands (Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lotus, McLaren, Mercedes) gathered in “The Avenue”.

The news

The Brussels show gives pride of place to freshness 5 world premieres to which one must add 6th which will be revealed at the press day on January 13.

If we add these world premieres to the European premieres, 14 real novelties are in Brussels as well as 12 concept cars.

The public will discover, for example, the Audi Q8 e-tron, the Opel Astra Electric, the concept Citroen Oli or Dacia Manifesto, the Abarth 500e or the restyled Honda Jazz.

It is also an opportunity to discover in real life the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, the European version of the Ford Bronco or even the restyled Alfa Romeo Giulia.

Finally, on the side of concept cars note the presence, among others, of the Skoda Vision 7S, the Renault 5, the Audi Skysphere, the Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion and ID Xtreme or the Mini Concept Aceman.

Suffice it to say that the Brussels Motor Show has established itself as the biggest motor show in recent years.
