A Record Year in Modern Bugatti History – 4Legend.com – AudiPassion.com

2022 is a record year for the French luxury brand, which has delivered an unprecedented number of vehicles in the past twelve months. At least 80 new Bugatti hyper sports cars have joined their owners – loyal customers of the brand or new customers – around the world.

An extraordinary year 2022
Over the past year, Atelier de Molsheim has once again demonstrated its ability to consistently build and deliver hyper sports cars at the forefront of performance, engineering and design. Among the 80 cars assembled by hand in 2022, there is in particular the 400th Bugatti Chiron – only 100 copies are to be made to reach the contingent of 500 cars initially planned – but also the last nine Chiron Super Sport 300+, the ten Centodieci , and finally the latest Chiron and Chiron Sport dedicated to the European market, whose completely unique configuration honors the memory of the eldest daughter of Ettore Bugatti: L’Ébé. This year, Atelier de Molsheim will deliver a number and variety of models not seen since its rebirth 17 years ago.

By presenting the W16 Mistral5 to the world in August 2022, Bugatti has unveiled the ultimate roadster, a vehicle that combines timeless beauty, power and performance. First shown at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering at Monterey Car Week, the W16 Mistral will be the latest Bugatti model powered by the legendary W16 engine. Its 16 cylinders and four turbochargers generate 1,600 hp, this revolutionary powertrain – combined with the advanced aerodynamics of the W16 Mistral – allows a top speed of 420 km/h. All 99 units were sold even before the car was officially announced.

In 2022, Bugatti further strengthened its coachbuilding expertise and delivered all ten examples of the Centodieci, all assembled in Molsheim. The tribute model to the EB110 – the legendary super sports car of the early 1990s – thus closes a new chapter in the coachbuilding tradition that began in 2018 with the announcement of the launch of the Divo6.

Created to respond to the growing demand for completely unique configurations, the “Bugatti Sur Mesure” personalization program pushes the limits of individualization even further and thus sets new standards in vehicle design. This program has resulted in spectacular achievements, such as “Waves of Light”: an intricate hand-painted painting that mimics the way light reflects off the body curves of the Chiron Super Sport.

With all the Chiron, Bolide and W16 Mistral already sold, particular attention was paid in 2022 to the entire customer journey as well as to the growing demand for buying second-hand cars. The “Tranquility Passport” program, which has been very successful since its launch, offers owners of the Veyron and Chiron models service and maintenance services.

For its part, the new “Bugatti Certified Pre-Owned” program allows brand partners around the world to offer second-hand vehicles accompanied by Bugatti certification, thus offering complete peace of mind to consumers. All vehicles sold under this program will undergo a 110-point check to ensure the vehicle is in top condition and complies with Bugatti standards.

As a sign of the incredible year experienced by Bugatti, the brand’s international network has expanded even further in 2022. Bugatti has embarked on a new transformation – from the manufacturer of hyper sports cars to a leading brand in luxury – the new showrooms included, from 2022, the new visual identity of the brand. Other openings are also planned for 2023.

As he looks ahead to the next twelve months, Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles, reflects on the past year: “Like all leading international luxury brands striving for the best in design and performance, Bugatti faces many challenges in 2022. But with an unparalleled team like ours, as talented, as passionate and as dedicated, we were able to meet these challenges with flying colors while creating and realizing amazing opportunities. »

The future looks bright
As Bugatti begins a new automotive era today under the banner of Bugatti Rimac – which celebrated its first anniversary in 2022 – and under the leadership of Mate Rimac, the brand will continue, in 2023 and beyond, to strengthen the leading its position among the manufacturers of hyper sports cars.

Definitely referring to the brand’s projects for 2023, Mate Rimac announced: “Bugatti will continue to offer the most advanced technologies. As the world changes, Bugatti strives and will always strive to stay at the forefront of vehicle performance, design and technology but also to offer the best in craftsmanship. Ettore Bugatti once said “If it’s comparable, it’s no longer Bugatti”: this vision of the brand is truer now than ever and we can’t wait to reveal it. more in the second half of 2023.”

The 2023 agenda also includes the auction, on February 1, 2022, of the Bugatti Chiron Profilée, a unique model in the Chiron line. Presented as a rare automotive gem, the recently unveiled hyper sports car is unique in its character, design and all its details. Production of the last 100 examples of the Chiron will continue and 2023 will also see the first W16 Mistral and Bolide configurations. This year, Bugatti will also celebrate its rich motorsport heritage and its historic ties to the 24 Hours of Le Mans on the occasion of the race’s centenary.

This is the momentum with which the Bugatti brand approaches 2023: full of confidence and enthusiasm for the opportunities that await.
