The Arsenal XI has no players worth more than £50m unlike their Premier League rivals, with Chelsea set to break the record spend for Enzo Fernandez
Arsenal may be at the top of the Premier League, but the value of their starting XI is relatively low compared to their rivals.
The Gunners spent more money than any other side in England’s top flight in 2021, spending big on bringing in stars including Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale and Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Arsenal’s starting XI is cheaper than you think
Fast forward to the end of 2022, however, and Mikel Arteta’s side are ranked ninth in spending, paying £118.86million in transfers, along with Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
That kind of money isn’t nuts, but contrary to what fans might think given their status as Premier League leaders, their drop in transfer spending has seen the team put them at the top of the table. .
Favorite right-back White was the Gunners’ most expensive signing of the 2021 summer window, signing him from Brighton for £50million.
But aside from the England international, Arsenal have a talented squad that is cheaper.

Arsenal
Starting the Gunners’ attack, star winger Bukayo Saka has been at the club since he was seven years old when he signed as a youth from Watford.

In midfield, Granit Xhaka and current captain Martin Odegaard are both worth £30m respectively, while Thomas Partey is worth £45m.
Arsenal’s back line also cost less than £50m, with £25m spent on Kieran Tierney, £23m on Gabriel, £27m on William Saliba and £24m on first-choice goaltender Aaron Ramsdale.
Now that target Mykhailo Mudryk looks too expensive, they may turn to alternatives. Shakthar are believed to want fees for their striker in the same range as Jack Grealish and Antony.

But while they haven’t broken the bank so far this season, their starting XI boasts a host of stars worth over £50million.
Unsurprisingly, Haaland will cost Man City a pretty penny, with the initial fee being £51m, which could rise to £85.5m in total once agent fees, signing bonuses and other costs are factored in. considered.
Although he doesn’t always guarantee a move to Pep Guardiola’s squad, Jack Grealish cost £100million when he signed from Aston Villa in 2021. Meanwhile, Kevin De Bruyne signed for £55million pounds sterling in 2015.
