About a year after its release, the Dacia Jogger will finally become a hybrid. This family station wagon, available in five or seven-seater versions, is now offered with the Hybrid 140 engine. This is the first Dacia model to use a hybrid engine. The main goal is to reduce fuel consumption.
Under its bonnet, the Dacia Jogger hybrid features a 90 horsepower 1.6 four-cylinder petrol engine, combined with a 50 horsepower electric motor and a high voltage starter-generator. There’s also a 1.2 kWh battery under the floor in place of the spare wheel. And the engine works with an electrified six-speed clutchless automatic gearbox.

According to Dacia, the Hybrid 140 version of the Jogger makes it possible to drive in electric mode 80% of the time in urban areas. And this hybrid engine promises a gain in consumption “up to 40%”, compared to an equivalent heat engine in the urban cycle. There is a regenerative braking system to recharge the battery while driving. In total, the autonomy of the Jogger Hybrid 140 is more than 900 kilometers according to the WLTP homologation cycle.
No compromise on trunk space

The advantage of this hybrid version is its habitability. This does not reduce the boot volume, which reaches 708 liters in the five-seater version or 1,819 liters when the rear seats are folded down. In the seven-seater version, the trunk volume is 595 liters with the third row of seats folded, or 160 liters if it is used. The passenger compartment now has a specific 7-inch instrument cluster, which displays information on the hybrid engine.

Dacia is also taking advantage of the launch of this hybrid version to offer the Jogger in a new body color, called Gris Schiste. The vehicle is manufactured at the Dacia plant in Mioveni, Romania.
The Dacia Jogger hybrid will be available to order from January 2023. The arrival of this model at the brand’s dealerships will take place from March of the same year. Its base price is €24,600 in the French market.
