Software updates are a critical aspect of our smartphone experience. They not only allow you to keep your phone longer thanks to the security patches deployed on it, but also to take advantage of new features introduced by operating system publishers. It’s great to see a manufacturer like Samsung detailing its roadmap for updating its smartphones and tablets to Android 13.
Android 13 has arrived on the Galaxy S22
In a Korean message seen by 9to5Google, Samsung detailed which product will get One UI 5.0 (based on Android 13) and especially when. This is the Korean version of the software, but international versions often come later, which at least gives an idea of when your phone can wait for its Android 13 upgrade.

The message was sent after Android 13 rolled out to the Galaxy S22, S22+, and S22 Ultra. If you have one of the top-of-the-range mobiles from the South Korean manufacturer, don’t hesitate to check the settings to see if the update hasn’t arrived on your device yet.
Which Samsung devices will update to Android 13 and when?

The Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro, on the other hand, is the only product announced for a February 2023 update. This list is obviously not definitive and complete. Other smartphones and tablets may be added to the already announced products. Updates for some devices can also be a little ahead or behind, but this first list gives a good idea of what Samsung has in the pipeline for the next few months.
Samsung good student of the Android world
We just applaud Samsung’s efforts to be transparent about its update program, even if there are some devices that are strangely missing from this list so far (like the Galaxy S21 FE, not to name it). The South Korean manufacturer has also promised four years of updates to many mid-range and high-end devices. The roadmap presented by the company also shows that the manufacturer does not want to delay the deployment of this new version of Android in its mobile fleet, which should please fans of the brand.
