Kanye West published his first Tweet for his return to the platform.

TWITTER – Back on Twitter, Kanye West shared his first tweet. The American rapper shared this Wednesday, November 2, 2022 a photo without a caption of basketball player Kyrie Irving, controversial star of the Brooklyn Nets.

While it received more than 30,000 likes within 30 minutes of its publication, the photo raised questions, knowing that the two stars were accused of anti-Semitism. Especially since the rapper showed his support for the basketball player on Instagram a few days ago.

The return to Twitter of the one who should now be called Ye comes less than a month after his account was suspended, on October 8, 2022, for anti-Semitic remarks. His account reappeared on October 28, according to the American version of the HuffPost… or the day Elon Musk took over Twitter. That’s why it had to wait a short week before the highly controversial rapper spoke on the platform. But what does he mean?

The photo in question, in black and white, represents a Kyrie Irving with a closed face and a determined air. It was published just after a mea culta of the basketball player who, in a joint press release with his club and the Anti-Defamation League, returned to the accusations of anti-Semitism of which he was the subject, underlined The Independent.

“I oppose all forms of hatred and oppression and strongly support communities that are marginalized and affected every day,” said the American anti-vaccines whoop, addition that he and the Brooklyn Nets will each donate $500,000 to groups working to eradicate hate. “I am aware of the negative impact my post has had on the Jewish community and I take responsibility for it”he continued.

A basketball player was also accused of anti-Semitism

On October 27, Kyrie Irving actually shared on his social networks a link to Amazon that leads to the movie “ Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America », released in 2018 and openly anti-Semitic. Directed by Ronald Dalton Jr, the feature film is adapted from an eponymous book dating back to 2015, which for example reads “ many famous high-ranking Jews” have” admitted” have” worship Satan or Lucifer”.

The basketball player was attacked from all sides, including his own club. But he found the support of… Kanye West. On October 30, on Instagram, the rapper published a photo similar to the one used on Twitter. This time, he showed his support with the caption: “ There are still some truths here. »

But on Twitter, he was skeptical. Especially since his return to this platform came a day after his Instagram account was temporarily restricted for a month.

Involved in controversy

Has been embroiled in a never-ending controversy since he appeared at Fashion Week with a t-shirt “White Lives Matter”a slogan used by white supremacists, the rapper was dropped by several brands such as Adidas, Vogue, Gap or Balenciaga, which cost him his status as a billionaire.

NBC News also revealed, in an article published yesterday, that six people said they heard him praise Adolf Hitler or mention conspiracy theories about Jews, while at work.

The rapper allegedly even paid off a former employee who alleged Ye used anti-Semitic language. According to NBC News, these revelations indicate that Kanye West has been using such language for years and on a frequent basis.
