Where to download older versions of Adobe software
You probably already know this, but Adobe Creative Cloud has replaced what used to be called Adobe Creative Suite software (which comes on CDs and DVDs). Creative Cloud is a subscription, and to get Photoshop and other apps, you just need to download them.
Of course, while CC is great for some professionals, it’s expensive for others who don’t use the software enough to make it worthwhile. In the good old days of Adobe CS, you could just make a one-time payment and use one or more apps as much as you wanted.
Cost may not be the reason. Some people may also find that later versions of Adobe applications do not freeze with an older desktop or laptop and may need a workaround until they upgrade their device to a more modern one.
This guide will give you the right directions to purchase older versions of Adobe software if you really don’t want to sign up for Adobe CC.

Note that you can still make a one-time payment for Photoshop and First Elements, which Adobe continues to update with new releases every year. They are aimed at home users and are ideal for them as they do not require an ongoing subscription. These aren’t the “professional” versions, but they still have plenty of tools and power for most people.
Plus, if you’re a student or teacher, you should be eligible for an extended free trial of Creative Cloud as well as discounts. Moreover, there are also ways to get Photoshop for free.
